"new search"; enhancement to social renting site (2012)

The build-out I had designed for a social renting site in 2012 had implications for the exisitng experience -- as will be the case invariably (from a UX perspective, no Product's process exists in isolation). This build-out had significant implications with respect to the User's experience of our existing search function. No longer limited to just buildings, Users could now search for neighborhoods and entire cities as part of their hunt for a new apartment to rent. So I prototyped enhancements to our search function and used it to both validate the experience with Users and to sell other stakeholders on the concept. As in similar instances, these prototypes were so elaborate they covered the 80 part of the 80/20 rule to a degree that Developers were able to leverage these in lieu of wireframes for their initial builds.
