product design

Gloor Product Design offers a proven track record of honing strategic business goals and turning them in to viable Web and mobile Products. From initial brain-storming and sketched storyboards to finished comps and wireframes, Gloor Product Design offers expertise, leadership and high-quality deliverables at every juncture until your Product is online and performing. Who are your Users? What do they want from your Product? How will it serve their needs? These are among the questions I ask as part of the User-centric analysis that will guide your Product's design.

build-out design

An addition to your beta or mature Product can vastly improve its efficacy and marketability. It can also have profound implications for the rest of your Product and its UX. It takes an experienced UX Designer to anticipate these implications and ensure the addition blends seamlessly into your existing Product.

  • What's the best way to debut the addition to your User-base?
  • Should you release it all at once or start with an MVP version and A/B test User reaction?
  • How much of it can you strip away for the A/B version?
The effective design of your Build-out begins with a UX Designer who knows which questions to ask and not just which questions to answer. I can bring 17 years of experience to bear on the design of your Build-out -- which means all the right questions get asked and answered quickly, thoroughly and sytematically.

information architecture (ia)

With over 17 years of experience designing Web and mobile Products, Gloor Product Design can ensure your new Product or Build-out adheres to the highest standards for usability. I've designed the User Experience of Products and Build-outs for clients and employers that have included Allstate, Humana and the Tribune Company. In my most recent engagement, I designed a responsive mobile enterprise SaaS for RealPage, a national leader in property management software. In the course of these engagements, I have conducted User interviews, usability tests and A/B testing. I have constructed prototypes, authored wireframes and designed novel and responsive "UX mechanisms." Designing a Product's workflow is not still-life, it's animation; which is why I focus on deliverables that always portray the sequence -- not just a few representative screens. From sketched storyboards to elaborate prototypes to thorough wireframe documentation, this focus ensures your Developers never waste a cycle building screenflow that hasn't been validated.

user experience (ux) design

Information Architecture is defined by the Information Architecture Institute as follows:

  1. The structural design of shared information environments.
  2. The art and science of organizing and labeling web sites, intranets, online communities and software to support usability and findability.
  3. An emerging community of practice focused on bringing principles of design and architecture to the digital landscape.

UX is an elaboration on the subject of a Product's IA that encompasses User feedback and the specifics of screen interaction. IA speaks more to the broader subject of what data becomes available, in what sequence, and in relationship to what other data and what category of User activity. Which means effective User Experience Design will generally occur in the context of a Product's IA and not out. Which is why entrusting your UX to Gloor Product Design will ensure it is built the right way the first time.

user interface (ui) design

Curb appeal counts. Gloor Product Design can ensure your existing brand is effectively reflected in your new Product or Build-out. If you're starting from the ground up, I can create original branding as part of the solution's overall design.

What sets Gloor Product Design apart is an integrated approach to the design of your Product or Build-out. Your Developers won't just be handed a set of Photoshop comps to go by when building your solution. They will get comprehensive wireframe documentation of workflow that has already been validated for usability. The wirefames will specifically reference the comps with links and screenshots in the document so there is never any confusion as to what to build, how each screen fits in to a sequence, and what edge cases look like.

If you already have an established UI Design, Gloor Product Design can ensure your new solution melds seamlessly in to your existing UX.
